Meet Our Fair Campus Principal

I am now in my 33rd year in the field of education. I started my journey in upstate New York, where I attend the Fingerlakes Community College, in preparation to transfer to Nazareth College (now known as Nazareth University), and then attending New York State University at Oswego. So, I left home having obtained my Associates degree in Liberal Arts & Sciences, obtaining my Bachelor’s degree in English with a minors in Education and Special Education, and finally my Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I had the pleasure of returning to my alma mater and teaching there for six years, first as a 4th grade teacher, and then as a special education English Language Arts teacher for grades 7-12th grade. I then took a job with Wayne Fingerlakes BOCES and an instructor for specialized students.

In 2000, after my daughter graduated high school and wanted to move to the south to attend college, I decided it was time for our family to embark on a new journey, so I moved my whole family to Atlanta, GA where we would live, go to school and continue to grow for next eighteen years. While living in Georgia, I was ready to pursue leadership options but in order to prepare for this new role, I felt it was necessary to add to my colligate experience by adding formal school administration courses and licensures. So, I attended the University of West Georgia in preparation for the school principal’s exam, and I attended Nova Southeastern University to obtain my Specialist degree. About four years after completing my Specialist degree, I realized that I should have continued on with my schooling to obtain my doctorates degree, so I re-enrolled, and I’m working towards that degree now. In this span of time I was able to work for two school district in New York and three school districts in Georgia, and by 2013, I had finally landed my first leadership job (and reached my 20th year as a classroom teacher) in special education, and I remained in that role until I was ready to seek a school leadership job. In 2020, after determining that it was time to broaden my horizon, I moved to Columbus, Ohio were I eventually obtained another leadership job in special education, but then finally the opportunity to become a building principal came along, and I jumped at the chance to secure my dream job. I believe that I can now pour back into the system, school culture, students, and school community all of the vitally wonderful things that I have learn over these past 33 years. My goal is to help as many students achieve success.
